What this website collects

One form, and nothing else. There are no analytics on this site, no advertising pixels and no cookies, and nothing follows you between pages or between visits. Fonts are served from Google Fonts, which means Google sees the request your browser makes for them.

We would rather say that plainly than publish a long policy describing collection that is not happening.

The enquiry form

It collects your name, your email address, a phone number and company name if you give them, which service you are asking about, and whatever you choose to write. It records the exact sentence you agreed to at the moment you submit it — not a tick in a box. Under Canada’s anti-spam legislation, the permission you give has to be evidenced, and a boolean is not evidence of what somebody read.

Alongside it we keep the page you sent it from, where you arrived from, the time, your browser’s own description of itself and your IP address. Those last two are what make that record worth anything later. A separate scrambled copy of the IP address, which cannot be turned back into one, is what stops a script sending the form a thousand times.

That information is stored in a database hosted in Canada, and passed to the system we use to keep track of enquiries so a person can reply to you. It is not sold, and it is not used to send you marketing you did not ask for.

Information we hold as a recruiter

Where we act as a recruiter, we handle candidate information — CVs, contact details, work history — on behalf of the employer whose role we are filling. We collect only what the role requires, keep it only as long as it is needed, and do not share it outside that hiring process without the candidate’s knowledge.

If artificial intelligence is used to screen, assess or select applicants in a process we run, that will be disclosed in the job posting and on the application form, as Ontario requires.

Your rights

Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. Write to hello@winwireinternational.ca and we will respond.
